    NetBIOS — the most common network protocol designed by IBM and Sytek for local computer networks.

    Network — a group of PCs or other IT devices connected by means of a cable, a telephonic line, electromagnetic waves (satellite connection, microwaves, etc.) for interaction and resources’ exchange. The Internet is an enormous network consisting of subnetworks with millions of connected computers.

    Newsgroup — an Internet service enabling different people to join discussions or to exchange information on certain subjects.

    NLX — a new system format characterised as having small size. NLX system boards support all existing processors, as well as the AGP, USB standards, etc.

    Notepad — a name of the simplest text editor contained by Windows.

    NVRAM — a memory capable of data storing with no power supply. Used as flash-memory.
