    IFS (Installable File System) a system of processing of an incoming/outcoming information transmission between the group of devices or files.

    IIS (Internet Information Server) a Microsoft server (Internet Information Server) used to allocate and service the web-sites and ports.

    IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) a system or a protocol, that allows to get access to the e-mail messages.

    Infection a term, that stands for the process of virus infiltration into the computer or into its special areas or files.

    Interface a system, that helps the users to interact with a computer and the software installed in it. At the same time, this software interacts through the interface system with the hardware.

    Interruption a signal of a short-term pause calling in the microprocessor operation.

    Interruption vector a technology used by a computer to perform interruption in the microprocessor. It provides a memory address, which this or that service should be applied to.

    IP (Internet Protocol) / TCP-IP IP address – a code of every computer. TCP/IP protocol is a system used in the Internet for interaction between computers and prevention of addressing conflicts.

    IRC (Chat IRC) a system for typed conversations on the Internet, in which one can transfer files as well.

    ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) a type of connection for the digital information transmission (data, pictures, sound files, etc.).

    ISP (Internet Service Provider) a company, that provides access to the Internet, and other related services
