    ЕАХ (Environmental Audio Extension) — a stereo sound system designed Creative labs.

    Encryption / Self-encryption — a technique applied by some viruses to hide their presence and avoid being detected by the antivirus software.

    Energy Star — a specification of computers, supporting a saving power use.

    EPO (EntryPointObscuring) — atechnologyofprograminfecting, withavirushidingitsentrypointinordertoavoidbeingdetected. Instead of taking control and starting operating as soon as the infected program is used or launched, the virus allows its faultless operation for a certain time before self-activation.

    Exceptions — the technology is utilized by antivirus software for virus detection.

    Exploit — a technology or a program using for its purposes the vulnerabilities or security flaws in a certain communication channel, operating systems, or other utilities and applications.
